Partnering With Horses to Support Healing and Resilience

Our mission is to support neurodivergent children and teens in developing emotional regulation and meaningful connection through group equine-assisted therapy. We believe lasting growth happens within the context of family, which is why our sessions intentionally include parent support empowering caregivers alongside their children to foster understanding, resilience, and connection at home and beyond.

Get to Know Us

At Reflective Resilience Ranch, Inc. we believe that all family members need space to be heard and supported. Our sessions are designed to teach crucial emotional regulation skills in your children through equine assisted therapy.

Horses are highly attuned and provide mirroring of the child's emotional state.  This unique attunement to human emotions, energy, and behaviors allows children to recognize their own emotional states and behaviors, as the horse's reaction is a direct and honest reflection of the child's inner state. This nonverbal interaction is powerful feedback for neurodivergent children who may not readily express or identify their emotions.

Our sessions are unique in that we provide parents with guidance, skills, and group parent camaraderie to navigate your neurodivergent child's needs while fostering stronger family well-being. Parents have the opportunity to connect and learn while our trained staff safely monitors your children in our sensory enriched activity room.

The Horses

Our horses provide direct and unfiltered feedback that drives the experiential learning. They do this through their natural ability to react to body language and energy, reflecting what's happening internally for the client without judgment. Their reactions (moving away, approaching, etc.) create powerful metaphors for the client's life and relationships.
